Howard University Club Baseball

The students of Howard University have a tradition of impacting their community in every aspect of their lives. Howard University students serve as ambassadors for the future in a community with little hope for the future. That is why several students at Howard University have decided to reestablish the club baseball program. Howard University will be the only HBCU to compete in the league. The purpose of the baseball program is to reach out to the youth in the Washington D.C. area by showing them there is a future in competitive baseball.

The goals for the Howard University Club baseball Association:

* Compete in the National Club Baseball Association.
* Develop skills to compete in the national playoffs to be held in Florida
* Educate the Howard University student population about baseball and increase school spirit
* Develop a mentor program with surrounding schools.
* In the future start a youth league with team members as coaches and umpires geared primarily for the youth in the area surrounding the university.

In order to obtain these goals we have decided to start a fundraising program. Our immediate goals with our fundraising program are to purchase quality equipment that will allow us to compete at an optimum level. We also would need money to cover travel fees, league dues, uniforms, umpire fees, and field fees. Your donation will help us reach all of our goals.
