Sarah Kate "Tuff" Fleming

Hi, My Name is Sarah Kate Fleming. I am 18 years old and about to start the next chapter in my Barrel Racing Career by joining the PCA (Professional Cowboys Association). I have been competing in all different kinds of speed events, mainly barrel racing for almost 10yrs. I've gone through feed shows, 4H, Associations,and NBHA. The next level for me is the PCA. I have been to watch a few of their rodeos and I believe that it's perfect for me and my horse Cash (Fast Cash Yawl). I've had him now for 5yrs and when I got him he was one of those horses that no one wanted to compete on. He was severely over weight and was/still is front ended. Some fell off of him going around the patterns from him being so front ended, but I loved him from the moment I saw him. He's brought me to be the rider I am today. But since May of 2006 my entire family has been changed. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and is still to this day fighting it. She's the strongest person I know. And I know how much it hurts her for me not to be riding at the level I deserve. But I understand with her being sick... so I've taken alot of time off from competing. Only entering what I needed to, in the NBHA, to qualify for the Youth World. The rest of the time I'm here helping out. I just wish that I could show my mom what Cash and I can do, without her having to worry about the money. Because I know she does worry about me missing out, but I love her more than being at a barrel race. But I would love to get the chance to show the PCA what I'm made of and show my mom she doesn't have to worry. If anyone would like to help sponsor me, I would be so grateful.
